Welcome to Jaytalking, edition 34!
The Green Bay Packers’ first home game brought about numerous controversies.
One of them involves the fact that so many visiting team fans have been found invading Lambeau Field in recent years – especially Vikings fans on Sunday.
I tweeted about it on Sunday with numerous thoughts. This was the start of a thread:
It stinks for the #Packers, but there are 81,000+ reasons why season ticket holders choose to go or to sell tickets instead. @wtmjsteve is right that for some, it is economics – with a fan base with so many, I’m guessing, middle class fans who pay at least $2k for season tickets. https://t.co/XktyFK6Alf

The other: The wave. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave his thoughts on the wave when he asked fans not to do it when Green Bay is on offense. He then expounded upon those ideas on our sister station, ESPN 540.
We got the thoughts of our own Steve Scaffidi, John Mercure, Melissa Barclay, Debbie Lazaga and Nick Van Wagenen on these subjects – and I throw in a few of my own.
