MILWAUKEE — A 39-year-old man from Waukesha is facing charges for his 5th OWI after he drove his car off Lincoln Memorial Drive in downtown Milwaukee Monday shortly before 11:15 a.m.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle flipped over near Veteran’s Park and landed balanced on the retention wall at the edge of the Oak Leaf Trail, partially dangling over Lake Michigan.
The man was removed from the vehicle with no major injuries but was examined at a local hospital.
He faces a criminal charge for his 5th OWI and other charges may follow.
