WILMOT, Wis. — An increased police presence remains at Wilmot Union High School for the rest of the week after a threat against the school.
Kenosha County Sheriff‘s deputies responded after receiving a “third-party communicated threat” to the high school allegedly committed by a 17-year-old student at the high school.
Deputies investigated along with the school’s administration and found that there was no credible threat made against the school, staff, or students.
“It is crucial to be vigilant and report any concerning behavior to the appropriate authorities. Let’s continue working together to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in our community,” said Kenosha Conty Sheriff David Zoerner.
While the school already has an assigned school resource deputy (SRO), there will be additional deputies on-site at Wilmot Union High School.
