The Reds scored first with a pair of solo home runs in the second and the third from Elly De La Cruz and TJ Friedel to make it 2-0, but that is all the Reds would score in the game as the Brewers pitching held them in check for the rest of the game.
The Brewers would cut the Reds lead to one following a Brice Turang RBI double that scored Jackson Chourio and would take the lead in the bottom of the third with a Danny Jansen two-run home run.
The Brewers would make it a 4-2 game with an Andrew Vaughn RBI double following a Chourio single and a Turnag walk.
Trevor Megill pitched a scoreless fourth to get the win for the Brewers.
The Brewers are off until Saturday where they would host the winner of the Padres and Cubs.
