UPDATE at 11:30 a.m. on 6/20/25: More details into the shooting on June 18 that left two people dead near 42nd and Auer.
Sources tell WTMJ that the shooting was a result of a domestic violence situation, and that the 22-year-old woman involved was trying to leave but was not allowed to. They also confirmed that she did not own the gun used in the shooting.
Police are still continuing the investigation.
MILWAUKEE — A deadly 14 hours on Milwaukee’s northwest side where two double shootings left three people dead.
The first happened on June 18 around 4:30 p.m. near 42nd and Auer. During an argument, a 22-year-old woman fired a shot at herself that ended up also hitting a 27 year old. Both people died of their injuries, and no one else was hurt.
The second happened three miles away just after 6am on June 19 near Hopkins and Fairmount. A 23 year old died at the scene from gunshot injuries while a 19 year old was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Milwaukee Police are still looking for unknown suspects in the second shooting.
