“We are making as much as we can.”
Those the words of Mike Kawleski, Public Affairs Manager at Georgia-Pacific in Green Bay, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
“It’s nonstop,” he tells WTMJ. “But than again, it’s always been kinda nonstop. We are a 24/7 operation, so we are continuing to produce toilet paper, napkins, and paper towels.”
If you are going to the grocery store and can’t seem to find some of these products, Kawleski says the problem is two-fold.
“It gets produced, but then it instantly gets distributed. We’re trying to, as a company, make sure that our distribution system is getting it to where it needs to go. The other side is the purchase decisions that folks are making. We certainly like that people are loyal to our products and want them, but maybe some folks are overstocking a little bit more than they really need to. If they buy only what they need for a few weeks, there certainly will be enough for everyone else.”
