MILWAUKEE — Good Karma Brands is becoming Good Karma Sports, introducing a new name and identity that reflects nearly 30 years of strategic growth and the company’s expanding role across the sports industry.

What began with a single radio station in December 1997 has evolved into a wide-reaching national sports media and marketing business that pairs national scale with deep local market expertise. Today, Good Karma Sports connects brands with sports audiences through relationships spanning the NBA, WNBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, college football and basketball, ESPN, TNT Sports, and numerous other sports properties.

“For nearly 30 years, we’ve built our business around sports, expanding our capabilities and relationships while staying deeply connected to the local markets we serve,” said Craig Karmazin, Founder and CEO of Good Karma Sports. “The business we’ve built gives brands a unique and customizable point of entry into the sports ecosystem, bringing together audiences, content, partnerships, talent and experiences around the teams, sports and moments that matter to them. At the same time, our expertise allows us to create value for sports partners in increasingly broad ways. That’s what Good Karma Sports represents, and there is tremendous opportunity ahead for our league, team, publisher, and advertising partners.”

Central to that evolution is the Good Karma Sports partnership business, a best-in-class capability built over decades of connecting local, regional, and national advertisers with engaged sports audiences. Today, that work spans a broad range of partnerships, from representing in game streaming advertising opportunities for regional sports networks and platforms to advising on the sales, content, distribution and operation of team video and audio networks.

“As the sports media and regional rights landscape continues to evolve, we see a growing opportunity to help sports properties reach more fans, create greater value from their content and build stronger connections with partners and brands,” said Steve Politziner, President of Good Karma Sports. “Our ability to combine local market expertise with scalable capabilities across distribution, content, sales and media operations gives our partners more ways to grow their audiences and their businesses.”

Good Karma Sports’ national platform is anchored by its longstanding relationship with ESPN, where the company has served as an operating partner since 2000. Good Karma serves as the exclusive sales representation and operations arm for ESPN Radio Network and ESPN Podcasts, which includes more than 50 podcasts, while its broader work with ESPN spans national and local audio, digital, social, live sports, events and activations. Through that relationship, Good Karma reaches sports fans digitally across 210 DMAs and connects with more than 57 million ESPN audio consumers via radio, streaming, and podcasts weekly.

The company’s content and live sports portfolio further extend that reach, connecting fans and advertisers with many of the biggest teams and moments in sports. Through ESPN Radio, Good Karma Sports’ national audio business includes the NBA, MLB, College Football Playoff and NFL Draft, along with live broadcasts of championship events. Good Karma’s expansive content business includes locally focused programming in major markets, operates live play-by-play partnerships with leading professional teams including the New York Knicks and Rangers, Los Angeles Lakers, Rams, and Angels, Chicago Bears and White Sox, Miami Heat and Inter Miami CF, Cleveland Browns, Milwaukee Bucks and Brewers, and the Buffalo Bills, as well as broader partnerships with sports properties spanning sales, content, distribution, and media operations.

Good Karma’s footprint includes more than 500 teammates nationwide, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Dallas, Madison, Milwaukee, Phoenix, and West Palm Beach. The company has been recognized multiple times as a Best Place to Work by Sports Business Journal, Front Office Sports, and USA Today.

Good Karma Sports is the parent company of 620 WTMJ.
