Welcome to Jaytalking, edition 38! This edition, with guests Randy Cross and Rose Gray, dives into the next Packers game, a huge matchup with the 49ers on November 24, along with much deeper subjects like the meaning of Veterans Day.
With 49ers legend and College Football Hall of Famer Randy Cross, we go across what are enemy lines in football, but dive into the deeper meaning of the lives of those who fought on greater enemy lines for us and our nation.
Randy and I discuss the Packers-49ers matchup to come, and he gives a few travel tips for Packers fans heading to the Bay Area for the game – particularly closer to Santa Clara, the site of the contest. Randy shares his own podcast, which talks about football and deeper dives on many subjects including the experiences of our veterans.
This son of a World War II Marine shared special stories of why Veterans Day means so much to him. We also discussed our WTMJ Cares: Operation Glory effort for Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, as Randy had a chance to experience the power of an Honor Flight as he filmed a documentary in our nation’s capital.
Finally, he discussed his favorite food: Burgers.
Certainly not least in the podcast, Rose Gray of Fox World Travel shares one of her favorite American travel destinations, the Bay Area, as she and I give our tips for Packers fans going to San Francisco for the game in much better weather than what we’re now experiencing in Wisconsin.
Rose is the host of the Fox World Travel Show every Saturday from 9-10 a.m. on WTMJ. Click here for more about Fox World Travel’s vacation opportunities.
