Hot and muggy conditions continue in Milwaukee.
Today, we’ll see highs in the 90s and the heat index will be as high as 100.
So what can you do to take care of your lawn and plants during these steamy temperatures?
The Plant Doctor Melinda Myers offering the following tips on WTMJ:
1. Prioritize watering
-Container gardens, new plantings, and water-loving plants should be watered first during extreme heat
-You can your lawn to go dormant during extreme heat and dry conditions
2. Move container gardens out of direct sunlight and group together in a shady spot during extreme heat
3. Consider installing a rain barrel to collect and conserve water for future use – there are many benefits
