With many of us stuck at home right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it could be the perfect time to start getting affairs in order.
“You’re trying to make sure that your family is cared for and that you have the right decisionmakers in place,” Jessica Liebau, Attorney at Law at Wessels & Liebau LLC, tells WTMJ.
Liebau adds that this is an important step regardless of how much money, assets, or properties you have.
“There’s a misconception that estate-planning is for people who consider themselves uber-wealthy. But really estate-planning is even more important sometimes when you don’t have a lot of assets to pass on.”
