Most dental offices across Wisconsin have temporarily suspended cleanings and other elective procedures during the COVID-19 crisis.
“What we’ve told our members to do is discontinue the routine services,” Mark Paget, Executive Director of Wisconsin Dental Association, tells WTMJ. “The cleaning and the exams and things.”
But there are exceptions for emergency treatment.
“People that are experiencing pain or anything going on in their mouth that’s just not normal, the dental offices will continue see those.”
If you do have a dental emergency, you should call your dentist, not go to a hospital ER.
