Virtually all events on your upcoming calendar have likely been postponed or canceled due the to coronavirus concerns.
But one that is still going on as planned- Wisconsin’s primary on April 7.
“We are not getting any indications from the state that the election is going to be postponed or canceled,´ Neil Albrecht, Executive Director of City of Milwaukee Election Commission, tells WTMJ.
In-person voting will still be allowed on April 7, but those who can, are being encouraged to vote early.
“We are offering, beginning today, three weeks of in-person absentee voting or early voting at three locations- Midtown Center, Zeidler Building, and Zablocki Library.”
Albrecht says they are also encouraging absentee voting.
“A lot of individuals, particularly seniors, love to go to their voting sites on Election Day. Voting sites will be open. They will be safe places to vote. But we want to reduce the risk for our seniors, and encourage consideration of absentee voting.”
