Coronavirus cases are on the rise across the globe.
Because of that, everyone seems to be on high alert lately.
What precautions should you take if you are a parent?
Calie Herbst of MKEwithKids.com says the most important thing is hand washing.
“Now it’s probably more important than ever that kids understand how to prevent the transmission of colds and flu. Just understanding that they need to wash their hands for 20 seconds.”
Another thing parents can do is just be honest with their kids.
“They’re hearing about it, and they might have some fears or anxieties about it. So maybe ask them today whether they’ve heard about it, what do they understand about it, and then explain honestly what’s going on right now.”
