‘Smart Justice: The Jayme Closs Case’ aired over the weekend on Lifetime.
The program was hosted by Elizabeth Smart, who talked with six other abduction victims for a documentary inspired by the abduction of the Barron County teenager last fall.
What did those in Barron think of 'Smart Justice?'
Mike Duncan, News Director at WJMC Radio in Rice Lake, joined Wisconsin's Morning News to share what he has heard.
“One- there was really nothing new there. They were using new clips that we've all seen more than once. And some folks actually had a problem with the title because they thought it was to exploit Jayme's name to try to get viewers. And then, the timing. A lot of folks had problems with the timing. I think theythought maybe Lifetime network could have waited until after the sentencing, which is coming up on May 24.”
Duncan says he imagines this will be just the first of many programs focusing on the Jayme Closs case.
