You may not be holding last week’s $764 million winning Powerball ticket, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get a taste of the jackpot.
If you own a home in Wisconsin, your property tax relief just got a bit bigger.
“On average, people get about $120 a year on lottery credit that goes to help with their property taxes,” Department of Revenue secretary Peter Barca tells WTMJ. “And it grows when we have these huge jackpots.”
He says the exact amount depends on whether the winner takes the winnings immediately or take the annuity option.
