Social security may expand monitoring of the Facebook and Instagram posts of disability recipients to evaluate the validity of their claims.
In its 2020 budget request, the administration says it's checking to see how social media can be used by adjudicators in assessing the consistency and supportability of evidence in a claimants' case file.
It's a plan raising data privacy concerns.
