One of Milwaukee’s most popular breweries is helping bring attention to pancreatic cancer, also known as the silent killer.
For the entire month on November, Lakefront Brewery’s “Kegnado” art installation will be lit up purple for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
The display is located on the side of the building toward the river walk area. It contains dozens of beer kegs cascading along the brick wall dressed in LED lights.
“It’s supposed to be like if you had a skid of kegs and a tornado came along and blew them away,” said President of Lakefront Brewery Russ Klisch.
Klisch says you can see the lighted display from 6-10pm through the month of November.
It’s estimated that around 45,000 people will lose their lives to pancreatic cancer in the U.S. this year, according to the American Cancer Society.
