In the opinion of Wisconsin’s Republican Senator, it is worth continuing to push the investigation into the son of the man who may be the Democratic rival of President Trump in the 2020 general election.
“There are a lot of unanswered questions. With the DNC involved with some Ukranian officials as well as Hunter Biden,” said Senator Ron Johnson on WTMJ’s Steve Scaffidi Show Friday. As CBS News reported (with the full letter of his request), he is trying to subpoena a witness connected into the investigation of the relationship between the son of the former Vice President, Hunter Biden, and Ukranian gas company Burisma.
“The American people need to know if there was wrongdoing…I’m just trying to get to the truth.”
He also claims that former Vice President Joe Biden may need to talk about this issue at some point.
“All I can say is that there are a lot of unanswered question. Quite frankly, Vice President Biden has not answered them.”
The move is at the same time as the rise of Joe Biden to the top of the Democratic race for President in the past seven days after victories in South Carolina last Saturday and three days ago on Super Tuesday.
Last Monday I informed @SenGaryPeters of my intent to subpoena documents related to our investigation into #Burisma. We’ll soon have a vote to issue a formal subpoena. See more here⬇️https://t.co/z6zkQ8vrXb

Johnson pledges that there may be multiple ways to find out what he wants to discover about the Biden-Burisma connection.
“If we can’t allow the subpoena, we’ll try to get answers to these questions a different way. This is the path of least resistance.”
