A Milwaukee Brewers free agent catcher who missed the 2018 season on the field, but was a major part of the high-chemistry clubhouse culture off the field, will be heading to San Francisco in an attempt to resume his career.
Associated Press reporter Janie McCauley shared this news:
Free agent catcher Stephen Vogt has agreed to a minor league contract with the Giants and is en route to spring training in Scottsdale. He had right shoulder surgery last May, but feels as great as ever. Not yet throwing from the crouch.

In 45 games with the Brewers in 2017, Vogt hit .254 with .789 OPS, eight home runs and 20 RBI.
He injured his shoulder initially, then made his injury worse to the rotator cuff and numerous other parts of his shoulder during a minor league rehabilitation game in May, per MLB.com.
