A Chicago White Sox relief pitcher may be the target of the Milwaukee Brewers in a trade.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports that the two teams are discussing a possible trade involving relief pitcher Anthony Swarzak.
An eight-year veteran, Swarzak has a 4-3 record with a 2.23 ERA in 41 games, all in relief. He has one save on the year.
Swarzak has only given up one run in his last 16 innings of relief pitching, encompassing 14 outings since June 18.
Closer Corey Knebel has had three losses or blown saves in his last nine appearances, giving up five runs in eight and two-thirds innings.
Recent reports have also had the Brewers talking with the Detroit Tigers about pitchers Justin Verlander and Justin Wilson, along with second baseman Ian Kinsler.
