They nearly had the Green Bay Packers. Nearly had them.
Green Bay ended up just a few yards away from blowing a 21-3 lead to the Chicago Bears after quarterback Mitch Trubisky and his offensive teammates put together a Stanford-band-style lateral play that came just a few scant yards away from scoring with no time left in regulation.
Had the Bears scored, they would have forced a two-point conversion that would have forced Green Bay and Chicago into overtime in their 200th meeting.
But it didn't. It ended with a fumble recovered two yards from the end zone, and the Packers winning 21-13.
Watch the heart-stopping Chicago play that fell just…just…short.
