For a non-franchise player to stay with one NFL team is rare. That is what Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb may be experiencing this season.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Silver, Cobb should not expect the Packers to re-sign the unrestricted free agent to a contract, allowing him to explore his options.

Cobb made more than $9 million in the 2018 season in the final year of a four-year, $40 million deal, coming off a 91-catch, 1,287 yard and 12 touchdown season in 2014.
He never replicated that performance level again.
He averaged 61 catches, 619 receiving yards and four touchdowns per season over his contract, with just 38 catches, 383 yards and two scores in an injury-riddled 2018.
However, his impact in Green Bay will be long felt.
Felt in the big plays he made that helped win critical games in chases for the playoffs and much more.
Felt in the large-scale positive community impact he made, particularly in mentoring youth.
And felt in the relationships he made with teammates, connections that spawned emotions such as these shared by Cobb and teammate Aaron Rodgers in the final game of 2018.
