He entered Green Bay Packers training camp after a checkered past, but left on an injury settlement. Now, he has been arrested again.
The Oregonian reports that Colt Lyerla, a tight end in Green Bay that summer, escaped from custody before being caught according to KGW-TV in Portland.
He reportedly was found guilty of heroin possession and was serving a six month sentence.
Lyerla had a previous conviction in 2013 for cocaine possession, according to the Oregonian. He also had drunk driving charges dismissed in 2014.
He injured his knee in the 2014 Packers Family Night scrimmage.
