The Packers recent come from behind victory over the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars was, for many inside and out of 1265 Lombardi Avenue, too close for comfort.
An Aaron Rodgers-led 75-yard 4th quarter touchdown drive keyed the come from behind win. A win that has the football world wondering just how dominant a team the 7 and 2 Packers are.
Sure, point differential is an indication of a team’s dominance and, on paper, the Packers are superior to the Jaguars.
But games aren’t played on paper. Week after week, a multitude of factors (injuries, weather, unforced errors) have an effect on each and every game played.
At the end of the day, the Packers record will be the sole factor in determining playoff position. And over half of the league will be watching the post-season instead of participating.
For that reason, wins should not be graded…they should be appreciated.
