The week before March Madness is…well…still madness.
Four Division 1 universities in Wisconsin have men’s and women’s teams trying to find their way in to the NCAA Tournament for their respective genders.
As of Monday morning, three of those school had teams still in it, with both Marquette and UW-Green Bay still competing in both the men’s and women’s conference tournaments. The Badgers women were eliminated in the Big Ten tournament, as have both the UWM women and men in their brackets.
Winning a conference tournament is an automatic pathway to the NCAA Tournament. That’s why this week means so much, and why it can be so crazy. Maybe more crazy than the NCAA Tournament itself.
