It’s a bit early for the entire Marquette University men’s basketball schedule to come out, but we already know one of the home games MU will play.
The Big East and Big Ten have scheduled the Gavitt Games for mid-November, and Marquette will host Purdue University on November 13.
Purdue, an Elite Eight team last year, lost to eventual national champion Virginia in the NCAA Tournament regional final round.
Marquette reached as high as eight in the national rankings last season, but lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Murray State.
Marquette also has the three-game ESPN Orlando Invitational over Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando. The other teams in the tournament include Davidson, Fairfield, Harvard, Maryland, Temple, Texas A&M and USC.
MU also has road non-conference games planned for Wisconsin and Kansas State, on dates to be announced.
