WTMJ and ESPN Milwaukee will have a voice of a pretty familiar face around these parts joining our Good Karma team.
Former Brown Deer High School, Marquette University and Milwaukee Bucks sharpshooter Steve Novak will take to the air on our stations twice per week:
– Monday, 11:30 a.m. on ESPN Milwaukee with Bryan Dee
– Wednesday, 6:15 p.m. on WTMJ’s Sports Central with Greg Matzek
After his high school career at Brown Deer, Novak starred at Marquette from 2002-06. His freshman year was the most glory-filled for the MU program over the last 40-plus years, as Novak’s three-point shooting (50.5 percent from three-point range) helped Marquette reach the Final Four.
In his other three seasons (2003-06), he averaged double figures in points for MU and led the Big East in three point shooting in his senior year (2005-06).
His NBA career lasted 11 years with nine teams. He played 11 games with the Milwaukee Bucks from 2015-17, and has served as a television analyst since then on Bucks broadcasts.
