MILWAUKEE — During an appearance on Wisconsin’s Afternoon News, Milwaukee Bucks President Peter Feigin discussed the team’s plan to submit a bid that would bring the NBA All-Star Game to Wisconsin in either 2025 or 2026.
These bids haven’t been formally submitted as they are not due for several months, but the wheels have been in motion for years. Feigin believes that Milwaukee was already positioned to host an event of this scale prior to the opening of a hotel near the Deer District, which is expected later this year.
“I think we’ve made it really clear for, not just the NBA All-Star game — whether it’s the DNC, the RNC, whether it’s making tracks on creating worldwide events and kind of changing the landscape of Milwaukee on tourism — those are the events we need for the city to grow,” Feigin said. “Having a global event like the NBA All-Star is a game-changer.”
The NBA’s All-Star weekend, which is held in mid-February every season, is a tremendous source of revenue, tourism and publicity for the city that hosts it. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver estimated that the economic impact that the 2023 NBA All-Star weekend had on the state of Utah will be around $280 million.
Feigin joked that bringing an All-Star game to Milwaukee is something that he mentions every time that he’s around Silver, who publicly declared his expectation that Milwaukee would host one of these events when Fiserv Forum opened in 2018.

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks will reportedly submit bids to host the NBA All-Star game in 2025 or 2026. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter.
In 2018, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver told The Milwaukee Business Journal that it was only a matter of time before the game came to Milwaukee.
The Bucks last hosted an NBA All-Star game in 1977. The team submitted unsuccessful bids for the 2022 and 2023 All-Star games.
The Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns are also reportedly expected to submit bids.
The Indiana Pacers are set to host the All-Star weekend in 2024.
