The Packers can clinch the top seed in the NFC with win over the Bears on Sunday.
The Bears can clinch a playoff spot of their own with a win.
No extra motivation is need for this game according to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur.
“Although we’re not in prime time, it’s a primetime game,” LaFleur tells WTMJ. “I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of people watch and tuning in to see the outcome of our game.”
This is a different Bears team than the Packers throttled just over a month ago.
After losing at Lambeau, Chicago has won three of its last four games.
“I think it’s night and day,” LaFleur says, speaking highly of the Bears’ recent spike in performance. “Putting up 30+ points in every game, I think [Mitchell] Trubisky is playing really well. I think they’re doing a great job of staying committed to the running game and doing everything off of it.”
The Packers won’t have help against the run this weekend, but reinforcements are on the way.
General Manager Brian Gutekunst is claiming defensive lineman Damon “Snacks” Harrison off of waivers on Wednesday.
The Seahawks waived the 32-year-old defensive tackle on Monday after Harrison requested his own release.
Kickoff from Soldier Field on Sunday is set for 3:25.
