Markus Howard is back in his comfort zone…being doubted.
The former Marquette star went undrafted on Wednesday night, but will sign a two-way deal with the Denver Nuggets as an undrafted free agent.
Too small.
Not strong enough.
Bad defender.
Only a shooter.
Howard has heard it all. It’s never deterred him.
He wasn’t highly recruited out of high school in the state of Arizona, and subsequently found his way to Marquette.
All he did there was develop into the school’s all-time leading scorer, scorching opposing defenses for 50 plus points multiple times in his career.
He’s a microwave. He can heat up in no time.
Now, he looks to make it in the NBA, and once again, nobody seems to believe in him.
Yet, at every turn of Howard’s basketball journey, he’s found a way to make it happen.
He may not be an all-star, but he’ll find his place in the NBA.
It’s the Marquette Way.
It’s the Markus Howard Way.
So keep doubting him.
That’s the way he likes it.
