22 people have now tested positive, according to UW-Madison Athletic Director Barry Alvarez. The outbreak includes 12 players and 10 staff members.
The program reported 16 cases on Thursday, meaning six new cases have been identified in the past two days.
Alvarez made the announcement during an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday.
He also said that the school will decide by Tuesday, November 3, whether or not it will be able to play Saturday, November 7 against Purdue.
Meanwhile, the University of Illinois is also dealing with positive COVID-19 cases among its players after playing the Badgers in Week 1 of the 2020 Big Ten football season.
