The Green Bay Packers betting on their future by using their first round selection on quarterback Jordan Love Thursday night.
“There were a lot of surprised people, both media folks and fans,” former Packers tackle Mark Tauscher told WTMJ.
As a friend and former teammate of Rodgers’, Tauscher says the quarterback is likely disappointed in the pick.
“Aaron realizes this kid is not going to help Aaron Rodgers’ football team next year be better because he’s going to be a backup. Aaron I think would have loved to have had a wide receiver, an offensive tackle, or someone who could make that immediate impact.”
Tauscher says it will be interesting to see how things play out.
“It’s just crazy how everything has kinda come full circle. This exact same thing is how Aaron Rodgers ended up in Green Bay. Now 15 years later, the same thing happened.”
