The Packers search for a new head coach is underway.
Reports are circling that the team has spoken with both Jim Caldwell and Chuck Pagano. And of course, interim head coach Joe Philbin is still in the running as well.
What qualities should the next head coach in Green Bay have?
“I’d be very surprised if they don’t go with an offensive guy,” radio analyst Larry McCarren tells WTMJ.
“That’s just the trend in the National Football League. It’s offensive, high-scoring, high yardage, exciting. All those things seem to be in vogue right now, so it would surprise me if they didn’t go with an offensive guy.”
He says it will all depend on what the individual will bring to the table.
‘You have to have a guy that seems to relate well with players,” adds McCarren. “The old school way of ‘my way or the highway’ with the current generation of younger players, it just doesn’t work.”
