A well-known Milwaukee restaurant group will soon re-open one of its eateries for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began. Ristorante Bartolotta will re-open in Wauwatosa on July 8.
“We’re very ready, excited to welcome people back,” said Paul Bartolotta of the Bartolotta Restaurants.
“We took the time to think about a really deliberate plan for employee safety first and foremost. Guest safety is top of mind as well.”
Using one of the group’s smaller restaurants will help Bartolotta’s team gauge demand for dining-in during the age of coronavirus, he said.
But perhaps the biggest reason for re-opening is because pandemic employment compensation will soon end for Bartolotta employees.
“I’m thinking about (employees). If I’ve done my homework to make sure I’ve created a safe, not perfect but best-I-can-do safety plan for them and my guests, (hopefully) consumer demand is there so I can put my employees back to work.”
