The coronavirus pandemic has led many municipalities to halt their fireworks shows and parades for America’s 244th birthday celebration.
However, some Milwaukee suburbs and other cities in the area are holding events, according to TMJ4 News.
Municipalities like Greendale are hosting fireworks at locations which they will not disclose until just beforehand to avoid large gatherings. Others, like Cedarburg, are not disclosing the fireworks locations at all, while others like Okauchee Lake are disclosing their locations.
A few cities are still holding parades, but getting creative in how they do it. Waukesha and New Berlin are hosting “reverse parades.” People can drive to the parade route in Waukesha where floats are being parked.
