Now that a judge has ruled for an extension until April 13 for absentee ballots to be returned in the April 7 Wisconsin election, another ruling Friday is guaranteeing no results will come in until all ballots have been received.
According to a judge’s ruling, Wisconsin clerks cannot release results of the April 7 primary until April 13, when the absentee ballot return deadline has been set.
The races involved include:
– The Democratic presidential primary
– A Wisconsin Supreme Court race
– Milwaukee mayor
– Milwaukee County Executive
All this has happened because of the influx of absentee ballots being used due to people self-isolating to protect themselves from the coronavirus pandemic.
