The University of Wisconsin has decided to go to teach students only through online platforms for the rest of the 2019-20 academic year in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a letter to the university, Chancellor Becky Blank says that students who have relocated for the initial period of alternative method learning for the next few weeks will need to consider whether to go back to campus or stay in their hometowns for online learning.
She says students who have no other option can stay on campus.
Blank also said that employees who are unable to telecommute for their job but cannot be on campus can receive an extra 80 hours of pay for employee leave.
