MILWAUKEE- Investigators combed through the Milwaukee County Courthouse this (Tuesday) morning after the Sheriff’s Office says an anonymous threat was phoned in.
According to the MCSO, the threat was placed via phone call suggesting a threat on/to the building. The Sheriff’s Office says screening stations were temporarily closed as deputies and a K9 unit performed an outdoor perimeter sweep as well as an indoor security sweep. The threat was deemed not credible and the courthouse was reopened this afternoon.
In addition to the courthouse, MSCO says the Safety Building, and Criminal Justice Facility, were also swept and were also cleared of any danger.
An investigation is ongoing. A suspect is not in custody.
