Three people are dead and one person is injured following a shooting in Brown Deer on Saturday.
Police Chief Peter Nimmer says the suspect is among those dead. He died of what investigators believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Chief Nimmer says the man opened fire at officers who responded to the scene at the Park Plaza apartment complex after 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
That suspect was described as a 26-year-old man.
The two people killed were identified only as a 23-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man.
A 36-year-old man was shot in the leg but is expected to survive.
Chief Nimmer also said that a child was inside the apartment but was not harmed. That child was placed into the care of family members.
