It didn’t take much moisture and freezing temperatures to cause a number of accidents in Milwaukee County Sunday morning.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says icy conditions have been reported on overpasses and bridges across the interstate system, resulting in several lane closures.
Extremely icy road conditions are causing several crashes & a freeway shutdown I-43 NB from Howard to Mitchell. Any overpass will be slippery. MCSO is advising motorists to reduce speeds and use caution on the freeway.

The sheriff’s office is advising anyone traveling to slow down and plan for extra travel times, especially where bridges and overpasses are since they will freeze first before other road surfaces.
