Sherwin Hughes is looking forward to having his voice heard.
“I’m excited for the opportunity,” Hughes said.
On Monday, Hughes was introduced as the host of the 10a-1p show on 101.7 The Truth, a new Milwaukee radio station dedicated to the city’s African American community. Â
“There are so many facets to the African American community,” Hughes told Wisconsin’s Afternoon News on Monday. Sharing our stories will bring a perspective to this segregated town. I want to try to bring some of that common ground out.”
It’s been a rough 2020 for many Americans. Hughes, a self-proclaimed Grinch, admits he’s looking forward to the holidays.
“This has been really tough year,” he said. “Most people call me the Grinch. But there are so many holiday traditions that I have taken for granted.”
Hughes’Â first show will be Monday, January 4th. WTMJ Radio and 101.7 The Truth are both owned by Good Karma Brands.
