If you haven’t picked up your real holiday evergreen yet, you may be out of luck.
Owner of Trees for Less Nursery in Mequon Rick O’Malley has been selling trees for about 20 years and says he’s completely sold out.
“We opened November 21, the week before Thanksgiving and generally we make it through the past weekend and into the week, but this year as of Saturday at about noon, every one of our trees are gone,” said O’Malley.
O’Malley says personally, he thinks the pandemic has provided an opportunity where people could get out of the house with their families.
“It’s fun to do and a lot of the retail lots have been sold out. I’ve gotten calls from Hartford and from Illinois from lots of people looking for trees that aren’t available anymore,” O’Malley explains.
He estimates he’s sold 10-15 percent more trees than last year.
