MILWAUKEE- The NBA is giving back to all 30 of its teams in a big way ahead of the 2020-2021 season.
The Sports Business Journal reporting that the league is giving $30,000,000 to each of its teams to help them stay afloat in, what’s sure to be, a season unlike any other, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The $900,000,000 distribution is the first of its kind for the league.
According to the report, each team will receive its $30-million before the season tips off on December 22nd. Each team will be able to spend the money as they see fit.
The Bucks announced last month that they do not expect to welcome fans into Fiserv Forum in the immediate future and did not say when that’s likely to change.
The NBA season tips off on December 22nd while the Bucks season begins the following day in Boston against the Celtics. The Bucks will play their first home game of the year on Christmas Day when they host the Golden State Warriors.
