SHOREWOOD — Police are looking for two suspects after an armed robbery and attempted carjacking of former Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele Sunday night.
Police were called to the 1600 block of E. Capitol Dr. around 7:21 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.
The Journal Sentinel says Abele was ordered out of his car at gunpoint after the suspect’s vehicle pulled in front of Abele’s car, forcing it to stop.
Police say the suspect was unable to drive off with Abele’s vehicle, but did not specify why. The suspect then fired two shots into the empty vehicle and took Abele’s wallet.
The suspects fled westbound on E. Capitol Dr. in an older silver or grey sedan.
