A Sheboygan woman is facing multiple citations, including a first-offense OWI, after causing an accident on I-94 in Racine County Saturday night.
The sheriff’s office says they got word of the accident just before 8:30 p.m. on November 7, 2020, on the northbound lanes of the interstate near State Highway 11.
Responding deputies found a semi truck with a trailer had pinned a 2011 white Jeep Liberty against a barrier. The Jeep has suffered significant damage
The driver of the Jeep, a 47-year-old woman, had to be removed from the vehicle and flown by Flight for Life to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Both she and the semi driver’s injuries are considered minor.
An investigation determined the driver of the Jeep had struck a construction trailer that had an electronic sign board. This caused the Jeep to roll onto its passenger side, slide into traffic, and then crashed with the semi truck.
