Milwaukee Police are investigating at least five shootings this Halloween weekend, which have killed one person and injured seven others.
The fatal shooting took place due to an armed robbery on the 3500 block of West Wisconsin Avenue around 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Suspects reportedly approached two victims, demanded property and fired several shots at them. A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was transported to a hospital where he passed away due to his injuries. A 45-year-old Milwaukee man sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Milwaukee Police continues to seek unknown suspects.
Other shootings from the weekend include:
- Two men, ages 36 and 37, were shot on the 600 block of West Capitol Drive around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020. They were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive. One of the victims was arrested in connection to the shooting.
- A 17-year-old man was shot on the 3500 block of North 13th Street around 1:39 a.m. Saturday. He was treated for injuries at a hospital. Police are still searching for unknown suspects.
- A 30-year-old Milwaukee man suffered serious injuries after he was shot due to an apparent robbery on the 6600 block of North 105th Street around 3:16 a.m. Saturday. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police are still searching for unknown suspects.
- Two men, ages 30 and 34, were shot on the 1300 block of West Atkinson Avenue around 6:45 a.m. Saturday. They both walked to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police are still looking for unknown suspects.
