Two people are dead and a third person is injured and arrested in connection to a two-vehicle accident on Milwaukee south side Saturday evening.
Milwaukee Police say they were called to the 5200 block of South 27th Street around 8:33 p.m. on October 17, 2020.
They determined one vehicle, driven by a 34-year-old woman, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided into a second vehicle that was heading home.
Two people inside the struck vehicle, a 50-year-old man driving it and a 48-year-old woman passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 34-year-old woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. She is expected to survive. Police took her into custody and she could face up to four felony charges.
An investigation continues.
