Wauwatosa is bracing for potential unrest today, as Officer Joseph Mensah’s future will likely be decided.
The decision on whether to charge Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah in the fatal shooting of Alvin Cole is expected within the coming hours.
Officer Mensah shot and killed Alvin Cole outside of Mayfair Mall back in February.
Mensah has killed three people in the past five years on the job, both of the other deaths ruled to be justified.
In preparation for the decision, Wauwatosa City Hall will close at noon today and the Wauwatosa School District will also go virtual for the rest of the week for the safety of students, staff, and parents.
