Waukesha Police say a suspect is in custody after a pair of suspicious incidents prompted a school lockout citywide Wednesday.
Investigators say they responded to E. Broadway and Lake St. just before 9 a.m. for a report of a woman that was set on fire.
TMJ4 News reports a neighbor went to help the woman and found a can of chemicals, which was then given to the police.
Waukesha Police were also notified of a suspicious fire in the Village of Waukesha a short time later.
A suspect was taken into custody just before 1 p.m. for the attempted murder and other incident.
Police say there is no threat to the community, but it is still an active investigation .
