One person is in serious condition after an officer involved shooting in Kenosha Sunday evening.
Kenosha Police say officers were called to the 2800 block of 40th Street for a domestic incident around 5:11 p.m. August 23, 2020.
The department has not said what led officers to fire the shots.
The injured person received treatment on site, and was transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for additional treatment.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol took over for Kenosha Police at the scene of the shooting.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation.
A video circulating on social media alleges to show the shooting as it happened. Neither Kenosha Police or the Wisconsin DOJ have confirmed if this is the case.
Following the shooting violent demonstrations took place, beginning in the neighborhood surrounding the area of the shooting. TMJ4’s Lauren Linder reports there were several law enforcement vehicles damaged, multiple fires, and possibly one law enforcement officer injured.
